many scenes seem to show 3-6 stops of DR, this still could mean blown pixels in highlights but for everyday results that won't ruin the image, 10 or 11 stops should be more then adequate for most properly exposed images i guess. On another note, not that this is super accurate but in photome where you can see the metering segments (K10D and K20D), needs to be updated for the K-7 and K-x but anyways i take a look at a lot of typical shots and sure its not a pixel level evaluation it still shows to an extent what the DR of the scene is. From my own measurements and Falk's, the K-x has a little more Dynamic Range (DR) than the A500 and even the SNR/Tone Response scores may be a little better, perhaps due to Pentax's electronics designers paying a bit better attention to the very best in analog design layout and production techniques.

I can't comment on the Color Sensitivity chart as I have no means of repeating that work, but you are right that Pentax usually has a very good score in that regard. Mike, I think that the DxOMark measurements of the K-x may be slightly better than those of the Sony A500 based on Falk Lumo's (falconeye) blog and my own measurements from raw images downloaded from Imaging-Resource and other places.
