Two years after the events of the first game, Max Payne (voiced by James McCaffrey) has been reinstated in his old job as a police detective for the NYPD. When in use, the bullet time meter will decrease until it is either empty or the player disables bullet time mode. In this mode, the screenвЂ™s color changes to a sepia tone to act as a visual cue. In Max Payne 2, the player can use Bullet Time to take control of serious firefights. Bullet Time is as present in this game as it was in the last.
